Predictive maintenance

Predictive maintenance consists of observing the conditions and analysing the operating parameters of a particular machine or piece of equipment, either periodically or on an ongoing basis, to predict and prevent breakdowns from occurring.

The principal advantage of this type of maintenance compared to classical maintenance is that it is more economical, since it detects failures, sometimes of a great magnitude, without having to shut down the plant or machinery.

Analysis of Electrical signals. To detect the presence of harmonic currents.

Analysis of vibrations in structures: machines and buildings. To determine characteristic frequencies and possible variations over time.

Analysis of plant signals. Analysis and monitoring of instrumentation signals in the domain of time and frequency.

Design of LabVIEW applications for monitoring, controlling and monitoring processes at the user’s request.

Thermographic inspections of electrical and thermal equipment to detect, without interfering with processes or production, the “hot points” that might be causing a loss of energy efficiency or which may cause the plant to shut down.

Lainsa offers all of the foregoing services in collaboration with the Politechnic University of Valencia (Spain) using the following technical resources

Signal Acquisition Equipment: YOKOGAWA DL708E and DL716 digital oscilloscopes; high precision acquisition modules; medium voltage acquisition modules; FLUKE process calibrator; acquisition cards for PC and laptop PC; industrial accelerometers for measuring vibrations.

Industrial Thermography Equipment: FLYR brand infrared thermographic camera with a thermal sensitivity of 0.07 ÂșC to 30 ÂșC and a spatial resolution of 1.3 mrad with its associated software.
