
Dismantling of Radioactive Facilities.
When radioactive and nuclear facilities have reached the end of their useful lives and when, due to accidents or incidents of a certain significance. Their components are contaminated and must be restored to their original condition or dismantled.
The operations involved in removing and/or eliminating the radioactive or conventional materials from the facilities and the site is what is known as dismantling. This concept can also include the disassembly and elimination of the facility’s structures, systems or components.
